Olivet Moravian Church has a variety of ministries and leadership opportunities for you to be a part of. Every gift and talent from God is important. There’s something for everyone here!
Adult Bible Study
Pastor Matthew leads an adult Bible study on Wednesdays at 6:30 PM in the parlor, except for periodic breaks during the year. We study different books of the Bible as well as topical studies.

The band began a long time ago with Olivet members playing at Bethania Moravian. Olivet’s band was formed in the mid-1950s. There have been only two directors, Robert Conrad and Winfield Beroth. We offer lessons for most instruments. We play almost every Sunday morning, Christmas, Easter, funerals and other times as requested. The band today has approximately a dozen members.

The Chancel Choir is made up of high school youth and adults, ranging from age 15 to 82. They sing almost every Sunday, including a call to worship and an anthem during the offering. You do not have to be able to read music to sing in the choir. The choir sings a variety of music, including classical, gospel, and contemporary. The choir also helps to lead congregational singing. Choir rehearsal is on Wednesday nights at 7:30 except during the month of July. If you love to sing, come and join the Chancel Choir as they make a joyful noise unto the Lord.

This is a new ministry that we have started at Olivet. The care team oversees providing food for members who are sick and have come home from the hospital, remembering our shut-ins and college students for special occasions and sending sympathy, get well, and thinking of you cards.
Christian Education Committee
The Christian Education Committee oversees on-going educational programs of the church which include Sunday School, Youth Fellowship, Vacation Bible School and other activities. The group meets the first Sunday of every month at 9:00 AM.

The Evangelism Committee meets monthly. The committee contacts members who have become inactive. The committee lets them know they are missed and encourages them to worship as often as possible. Pastor Matthew contacts new visitors and invites them to return and worship with us. Committee members interact with attendees at the end of Sunday services. Community events are held to reach out to the community and let them know about Olivet Church and its mission.

Men’s fellowship is a group where all men of the church and community are welcome.
Men meet for breakfast/meeting on the third Sunday of the month at 8:30 AM, sponsor a biannual golf tournament, prepare and serve meals at homeless shelters, help people in need in the community and carry out service projects at the church.
They pride themselves on providing selfless service while also having fun outings.

The Missions Committee meets quarterly on the third Monday at 7:00 PM.
Monthly mission projects are selected and a member of the committee contacts the selected organization to set up a time for our church to help. Projects include volunteering to help at the site and/or collecting and needed items for the organization.
A prayer group meets on Sunday mornings in the parlor at 9:30 AM before Sunday School. They pray for our church and pastor.
Olivet Moravian Church is proud to sponsor local Scouting troop 919. Additionally, Olivet hosts a Girl Scout troop, and Cub Scout pack 919.
Senior Friends at Olivet meet monthly in the fellowship hall. Men and women, 55 years and older, are invited to attend. We have devotion, play games and most of all enjoy fellowship with each other while sharing a light lunch.
Sunday School is held every Sunday morning from 9:45 AM. Classes are available for all ages from young children to senior. Various types of classes are offered so there is sure to be one that fits your spiritual needs.
